THE DESIGN PROCESS
STEP 1: LET’S TALK!
Getting to know my clients is the best and probably the most important part of my job. We can meet in person, over the phone, or Skype. This first conversation is a chance for us to collaborate on ideas. It’s okay if you don’t have your event details yet. If you have any ideas, inspirations, colors, or pictures, I need to see them!
STEP 2: ESTIMATE & APPROVAL
I’ll send you an estimate within a week of our initial conversation. To reserve my services, you will approve the estimate and send a 50% non-refundable deposit. From there I’ll create a detailed timeline to ensure that everything flows seamlessly.
STEP 3: MOCK-UPS
The fun begins! We will discuss color, paper and font options for the design you select. If you’re ordering custom invitations, I’ll create an inspiration board either through Pinterest or email.
STEP 4: PROOFING
I’ll start by creating two mock-ups. We can combine your favorite aspects of the mock-ups or go in an entirely new direction. I only ask that you tell me exactly how you feel—don’t hold back! You will receive two additional revisions free of charge. Once a final invitation design has been created, I can match the rest of your set (response cards, information cards, etc.).
STEP 5: FINAL APPROVAL
Once you sign the final proof, I am not responsible for any typos or copy errors. Please be sure that every detail is correct. From there, we’ll go into production and the remaining balance will be due. Every piece in your invitation suite will be meticulously hand-checked and safely packaged. Your order will ship within 1-6 weeks depending on the intricacy of your invitations. Rush service is available at a premium.
STEP 6: YOUR ORDER ARRIVES

Save the Dates: Schedule an appointment or phone call to discuss options and pricing, and to begin developing a vision.
7-8 MONTHS AHEAD
Mail Save the Dates. If you’re having a destination wedding I suggest mailing your Save the Dates 10-11 months in advance.

Day Of pieces: Schedule an appointment or phone call to discuss options and pricing for your menu cards, table numbers, escort cards, programs, thank you cards, sign-in-board and other signage.
Send your envelopes to the calligrapher.
Mail your wedding and rehearsal dinner invitations!
